When two runners place in the Top 10, two more find spots in the Top 20 and another lands in the Top 30, it usually prints out success for a cross country team.

And that was the case for the Ripley Lady Vikings in the Dutch Miller Invitational.

The Ripley runners of head coach Hilary Groves and assistants Jimmy Groves and Bryan Thompson accumulated 74 team points to place second behind Hurricane, who finished with a winning score of 45, at the Kennedy Center Course in Huntington.

Ripley's Ellie Hosaflook and Haleigh McCune posted Top 10 times. Hosaflook placed sixth after running the course in 21:10.01 while McCune was eighth with a time of 21:45.4.

Corbin Casto (38th, 26:22.07) and Emily Dunlap (40th, 26:33.00) rounded out the Ripley running attack.

The Viking boys team had four runners compete with Max Meadows leading the way by placing 10th in a time of 18:01.08.
