Vikings fall to Scott Skyhawks

A nip-and-tuck affair between Ripley and Scott last Saturday saw the Skyhawks stand tall at the end of the game.

Leading by two going into the fourth quarter, Scott outscored the visiting Vikings, 18-13, in the last eight minutes of play for a 53-46 victory at the Ripley Health Center.

The loss dropped the Vikings to 2-3 on the season.

Luke Johnson and Kaedon Proffit scored 12 points each for the Vikings.

Kadin Hall scored eight in the win with Isaiah Casto finishing with seven.

Shane Bumpus scored three while Joey Ramsey and Cade Goode had two each.

Ripley was 19-of-41 from the field. The Vikings made 2-of-9 attempts from the 3-point line. At the free-throw line, Ripley was 2-of-2.

Most of Scott’s scoring damage was done by two players – Jayden Sharps, who had 19, and Reece Carden, who scored 15.

Johnson had 13 rebounds in the game with Casto pulling down 10.

Casto handed out five assists and Proffit supplied three.

Casto had two steals.
