Haynes ties for first in CJRT Championship; fifth in Season Finale

Ripley High senior-to-be Davis Haynes tied for first Monday in the 17-18 division of the Callaway Junior Tour Championship on the Parkersburg Country Club links.
Davis and Mace Busch of Parkersburg each fired rounds of 3-over-par 76 to share the title at the course in Vienna.
James Manley of Ripley was 11-over to finish in a three-way tie for ninth.
Gavin Fox of Ravenswood placed 15th at 15-over.
Andrew Pennybacker of Wheeling was 2-over to win the 12-and-under division.
Jackson Woodburn of Scott Depot shot even par to finish first in the 13-14 age group.
Cameron Jarvis was 1-over to win the 15-16 division.
Brielle Milhoan of Vienna was 14-over to capture the girls 10-14 crown.
Oceana’s Kerri Anne-Cook was at 6-over to win the girls 15-18 title.
Later in the week, Haynes placed fifth in the season finale of the Callaway Junior Tour.
Haynes shot 12-over on the challenging Meadows Course at The Greenbrier.
Caden Moore of Bridgeport was the winner at 7-over.
Chester’s Jacob Gittings and Mace Busch of Parkersburg tied for second at 10-over.
Carson Higginbotham of Clarksburg won the 12-and-under division at 3-over.
Tanner Vest of Shady Spring was the 13-14 age group winner with a score of 6-over.
Cameron Jarvis of Barboursville was first in the 15-16 age division carding a 4-over-par.
Emerson Simons of Spencer won the girls 10-14 age group at 13-over.
Savannah Hawkins was first in the 15-18 age group with a score of 8-over.
