Jackson County Schools requests disabled children services funds; plan open for review June 22-29
The 2021-22 Local Education Agency Application for Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and State Aid for Exceptional Students Entitlement Funds has been prepared by the Jackson County Schools Office of Special Education for submission to the West Virginia Department of Education, according to a release from the school system. The purpose of this proposal is to request supplementary funds for services provided to children with exceptionalities between the ages of 6 and 21 as well as 3-5 year-old children with disabilities attending Jackson County Schools.
The plan will be available for public review by any and all interested persons at the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, Jackson County Board of Education Building, Ripley. This document may be inspected from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. June 22-29. The plan will be submitted for approval by the Jackson County Board of Education at a regular meeting of the board on Tuesday, June 29, and submitted to the West Virginia Department of Education, Office of Special Programs, for approval on Wednesday, June 30.
