Area faith-based organization getting in touch with the community
Women In Touch is a new faith based organization in Jackson County that wants to be in touch with you personally and spiritually as well as be volunteers within the community.
This organization is not associated with any one church but is here for anyone who desires a connection with friends, doing community service projects, attending social events and striving to be the best person you can be.
Seeing the need to lend a helping hand at the Ripley Library, WIT purchased some flowers. The group also received a donation from Crihfield Farms of Kenna. Susie Whited, Kazzie Morrison and Kim Rider provided some hands-on volunteer hours along with Felicia Shockey.
If you would be interested in assisting this group of ladies or attending future events, contact Kim Rider at 304-532-4868. Their next informal gathering will be on Tuesday, June 8, at Cedar Lakes at 6 p.m. You are asked to bring a finger food, a lawn chair and a friend and join them for a time of fellowship, a walk, a bike ride or just adult conversation.
