In honor of Flag Day, Jackson County's Old Hickory chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution waved American flags outside of Ripley's City Hall on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Mary Pistelli, the veteran chair for the chapter and a Ripley resident, said this is the second year the organization has waved flags in Ripley.

"We want to show patriotism to our country," Pistelli said. "It was a great day."
