Celebration of Decorations
The Starcher Mansion made for a magical venue during the outdoor hybrid auction event that JCCF, Inc. – Community Foundation of Jackson County hosted on Dec. 3. The event started with an evening stroll through the beautifully lit decoration’s at 5 p.m. The auction began shortly after 6 p.m. Although the night was frigid, everyone came together and supported the community of Jackson County.
The Mansion grounds gave the designers and fund holders the ability to showcase their 28 displays and wreaths. This is the fourth year for this event. Misty Hamon, executive director at the foundation said, “This event has grown into a wonderful way for JCCF to highlight our fund holders and their wonderful funds that we have the privilege and honor of managing.”
JCCF, Inc. plans to continue this annual hybrid auction event and utilize the online auction feature. The donors at this year’s hybrid event brought in $36,565 with online donations of $8,440.
“All proceeds from this event go to help this year’s participating fund holders build their funds so that they can continue to support local programs and projects in our area,” Hamon said. “Your concerns, commitment, and generosity toward the community allows our foundation to inspire, impact, and empower for good.”
