JC Grand Jury returns 28 indictments

The Jackson County Grand Jury recently retuned 28 indictments on cases involving drug crimes, sexual misconduct, and child neglect, as well as additional charges.

• Jerri Jackson, no age given, was charged with one count of child neglect resulting in injury.

• David Travis Carte, no age given, was charged with one count of assault during commission of or attempt to commit a felony; one count of burglary – entry of dwelling or outhouse; one count of entry of a building other than dwelling – entry of railroad, traction, or motorcar, steamboat or vessel; and one count of malicious or unlawful assault – assault – battery (wounding)

• William Harold Ball, III, 53, was charged with one count of attempts (underlying offense punishable by life or penitentiary); one count of destruction of property; and one count of wanton endangerment involving a firearm.

• Alexandra Goodpaster, no age given, was charged with one count of any person 18-years-of-age or older who knowingly contributes to or encourages the delinquency of a child; and one count of child neglect resulting in injury.

• Jessica Hughes, no age given, was charged with destruction of property; one count of gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury; and one count of reckless driving.

• Kimberly Dawn Day, 39, was charged with one count of gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

• Tyler Matthew Smith, 24, was charged with two counts of child abuse resulting in injury; one count of domestic assault – unlawful use of force capable of causing pain/injury to a family or household member; and two counts of domestic battery – unlawful or intentional physical contact or harm to a family or household member.

• Andrew Scott Jackson, 36, was charged with one count of child neglect resulting in death; four counts of gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury; one count of murder – first and second degree; three counts of persons prohibited from possessing firearms; and eight counts of wanton endangerment involving a firearm.

• John Franklin Lawson, no age given, was charged with 30 counts of incest; 10 counts of first-degree sexual abuse; 12 counts of first-degree sexual abuse (defendant 14 years or older, victim under 12 years-of-age); 52 counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian to a child; 30 counts of second-degree sexual assault; and one count of soliciting a minor via computer.

• Joel Adam Gibbs, no age given, was charged with one count of grand larceny.

• William Michael White, 52, was charged with gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

• Michael Lee Grogg, 36, was charged with driving while license revoked – DUI.

• Jessica Lynn Nichols, 31, was charged with grand larceny.

• Christopher Jackson, no age given, was charged with one count of child neglect resulting in death.

• Darius Christopher Cross, 29, was charged with one count of conspiracy; one count of prohibited acts A – manufacture (schedule I, II, and III); and transportation of controlled substances into the state.

• Brandon Lee Fields, 21, was charged with one count of domestic assault – unlawful use of force capable of causing pain/injury to a family or household member; one count of domestic battery – unlawful or intentional physical contact or harm to a family or household member; and one count of unlawful restraint.

• William Bradley Skinner, 35, was charged with one count of driving while license suspended or revoked; and one count of shoplifting.

• Anthony Justin Slater, 33, was charged with one count of prohibited acts A – manufacture (schedule I and II narcotics).

• Tarmazz H. Scott, 27, was charged with one count of conspiracy; and one count of manufacture and delivery (schedule I, II, III, and IV).

• Edward Dore Becket, Jr., 59, was charged with one count of driving while license revoked – DUI; and two counts of failure to register or provide notice of registration changes.

• Jonathan Michael Wilson, 33, was charged with six counts of failure to register or provide notice of registration changes.

• Roger Lee Harper, Jr., 39, was charged with one count of driving while license revoked – DUI.

• Nathan Dean Hamon, 31, was charged with one count of manufacture and delivery (schedule I, II, III, and IV); one count of obstructing an officer; one count of possession of a controlled substance; and one count of transportation of controlled substances into the state.

• Belinda Falls, no age given, was charged with 12 counts of any person 18-years-of-age or older who knowingly contributes to or encourages the delinquency of a child; 21 counts of child abuse resulting in injury; 11 counts of child neglect resulting in injury; three counts of conspiracy; one count of criminal invasion of privacy (distribution); one count of criminal invasion of privacy (portray); one count of distribution and exhibiting of material depicting minors sexually explicit conduct prohibited; one count of fraud to conspire against the state; two counts of gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury; 11 counts of incest; four counts of indecent exposure; four counts of manufacture and delivery (schedule I, II, III, and IV); one count of prohibiting child erotica; 29 counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian to a child; one count of sexual abuse by a parent, guarding, custodian to a child (third part); 18 counts of first degree sexual assault; one count of sexual assault in the third degree; two counts of use of minors in filming sexual explicit conduct prohibited (filming of minor); six counts of use of minors in filming sexual explicit conduct prohibited; and four counts of use of obscene matter with intent to seduce a minor.

• Peter Lizon, 46, was charged with one count of abduction of person – kidnapping or concealing a child; one count of domestic battery – unlawful or intentional physical contact or harm to a family or household member; one count of malicious or unlawful assault – assault – battery; one count of reckless driving; and 72 counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guarding, or custodian to a child.

• Dustin Hypes, 34, was charged with 12 counts of any person 18-years-of-age or older who knowingly contributes to or encourages the delinquency of a child; 21 counts of child abuse resulting in injury; 11 counts of child neglect resulting in injury; four counts of conspiracy; one count of criminal invasion of privacy (distribution); one count of criminal invasion of privacy (portray); one count of distribution and exhibiting of material depicting minors sexually explicit conduct prohibited; two counts of gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury; 11 counts of incest; four counts of indecent exposure; four counts of manufacture and delivery (schedule I, II, III, and IV); four counts of prohibiting child erotica; 29 counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian to a child; one count of sexual abuse by a parent, guarding, custodian to a child (third part); 18 counts of first degree sexual assault; one count of sexual assault in the third degree; two counts of use of minors in filming sexual explicit conduct prohibited (filming of minor); six counts of use of minors in filming sexual explicit conduct prohibited; and two counts of use of obscene matter with intent to seduce a minor.

• Brian Christopher Magers, 28, was charged with five counts of gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

• Jennifer Robin Magers, 28, was charged with five counts of gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.
