Coach Tess Gump’s Ripley High archers finished first place at the Shady Spring AAC Tournament on Saturday, April 13, with a score of 3391.
Placing in the top ten for the boys high school division were Ian Juniper in first with 291; Jordan Kerns second with 289; Dakota Parsons fourth with 282; Tyler Hashman placed sixty shooting 281; and Levi Radabaugh captured ninth with 280.
In the girls high school division were Senior Sara Hughart with first place shooting 289; Kaylee Toler in second with 286; Delaney Thomas took fourth with 283; Makayla Edwards sixth with 281; Michaela Dickenson took seventh with 275; and sophomore Rayne Thompson captured the tenth spot shooting 271.
In middle school action, the Vikings took the number one spot with a score of 3262.
Individual placers in the boys middle school division were Zane Burdette in first with 286; Cooper Shinn with fourth shooting 276; Jonathan White took the sixth spot with 273; Layne Kendall was in seventh with 271; Hunter Davis captured eighth with 271; and Gabriel Talbert took ninth with 269.
Middle school girls division individual winners included Jaiden George with first place shooting 285; Riley Bennett took fourth with 273; and Elizabeth “Lizzy” Ridenour captured the ninth spot with a 265.
The Vikings remain home for their next tournament, the Ripley AAC on May 4.
