PARKERSBURG - Trailing 41-36 heading into the final eight minutes, Coach Cara Williams’s Red Devilettes torched host Parkersburg Catholic with an 11-5 scoring spurt to eke out a 47-46 road win Tuesday night.

Claudia Cubides led the Devilettes with 18 points. Kayla Liptrap added nine; Ali Westenhaver, eight; and Haylie Reynolds and Chesney Hudson, six each.

Westenhaver hauled down 11 rebounds; and Hudson, six. Paige Hudson and Chesney Hudson dished out three assists each.

Ravenswood overcame more than the Crusaderettes, dodging a dismal night at the free throw line where they cashed in on just eight of 27 charity shots, while shooting just 28% from the floor (18 of 64).

Alexis Saunders took game scoring honors for PC with 20 points. Olivia Ullman added night; Madeline Huffman and Emma Gardner, sic each; and Mikayla Alkire, five.

The Devilettes (5-10) play at Wayne tonight (Thursday), before a hiatus idles them until January 31 at home versus Ritchie County.
