HARRISVILLE - The Ravenswood Red Devil boys cross country team produced a third place finish last week at the Little Kanawha Conference Meet on the North Bend State Park course, with the Brothers Jarrell again pacing the attack.

Sophomore Bryce Jarrell was third in a time of 17:17.72 while his twin brother, Blake, posted a time of 17:48.37, good for seventh place. The two earned All-LKC honors for their efforts

Junior Chris Murray was 13th (18:13.53) and earned LKC Second Team All-Conference. Colby Marks finished 28th (19:32.37), freshman Deshone Cooper placed 42nd (20:10.14), Austin Anderson came in 65th (22:14.61) and Cody Smith was 77th (23:17.80).

Paige Pursley garnered All-LKC honors in the girls division with a 12th place finish (22:56).

“It was a top level effort for our boys,” said head coach Bryan Canterbury. “We have closed the gap and feel like we can compete for Class A (state championship) honors.” 

Ravenswood runners will be racing for State Meet berths today when they compete in the Class AA-A Region IV Meet at the Wood County Fairgrounds in Mineral Wells.
