Rosemary Stephenson, 84, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at her home with her husband and eldest son by her side.
Rosemary was born on November 29, 1936, in Morgantown, WV, the daughter of Burgett “BP” Johns and Mary Feather Johns. She was raised in Grafton, WV, and graduated from Grafton High School in 1955. After high school, she worked as a telephone operator, a job that suited her well.
On November 22, 1958, she married John Stephenson, the love of her life. They were married for 62 years. After moving to Ravenswood, she began working at Jackson General Hospital, where she formed many life-long friendships.
Rosemary had a fierce love for family and for attending family reunions and gatherings.
In addition to her husband, Rosemary is survived by her two sons, Thomas (Beverly) of Ravenswood and Bradley (Kelly) of Pittsburgh, PA; two grandsons Jonathan (Taylor) Wood and Zachary Thomas (Ashlea Kirk) Wood, both of Vienna, WV; and one granddaughter, Sadie Rose Stephenson of Pittsburgh, PA. She loved them all dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas P. Johns, her daughter, Beth Anne Stephenson Wood, and many beloved cousins.
Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Beth Wood’s Memorial Fund care of Ravenswood First Baptist Church.

Rosemary’s funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Ravenswood and also live-streamed on the First Baptist Church Facebook page on Saturday, February 6, 2021. The time of service is being decided and will be announced. Pastor Toby Wagoner will officiate.
