Barbara Jean “Susie” Williams, 73, of Ripley, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Jackson General Hospital, following a brief illness.
She was born July 17, 1947, in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late William Ray Dye and Mina Lee (Tyree) Dye Rhodes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gay “Willie” Williams; brothers, Steven Wayne Dye and Douglas Michael Dye.
Susie was a 1967 graduate of Ripley High School. She was a homemaker and cared greatly for her family. Susie was a member of TOPS and attended Grace Community Church in Fairplain. She enjoyed genealogy, crocheting, singing gospel songs, cats and wildlife.
Survivors include her sons, Joseph Michael Williams and his wife Melanie of Leon, Jason Paul Williams of Leon; brothers, James Dye, Kenneth Rhodes, David Rhodes; sisters, Becky Hunt, Debbie Smith, Carolyn Casto and one grandson, Levi Williams.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastors Tim Parsons and Kevin Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in Emma Chapel Cemetery, Liberty, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Saturday, at the funeral home.
