Rodney Lee Stutler, 65, Cottageville, WV, passed away December 13, 2020, at home, following a brief illness.
He was born December 31, 1954, in Ripley, WV, a son of Deloris Ann (Casto) and the late Richard Lee Stutler. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Jean (Garnes) Stutler.
Rodney was a 1974 graduate of Ripley High School and served in the United States Army. He retired as a Land Man for Oil and Gas Leasing with many years of service. He attended the Goldtown Community Church and enjoyed show horses, camping, fishing, and fox hunting. Rodney was a prankster and will be greatly remembered for his cooking, especially for his wonderful BBQ ribs.
Survivors in addition to his mother, include his son, Trevor Stutler of Cottageville; sisters, Sheryl McDermott and Marlene Kay, both of Ripley and step-father, Paul Weekley.
Service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Al Mendez officiating. Burial will follow in the Baptist Grove Cemetery, Leroy. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
