Given - Constance Yvonne (Pitts) Painter, 66, of Given, WV, passed away January 1, 2022 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV, following a brief illness.

She was born May 5, 1955, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late William Murl Pitts and Janice Marie (Ross) Pitts of Ripley. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jonathan C. Pitts; great-granddaughter, Payton Jackson.

She was a graduate of Ripley High School and enjoyed her grandchildren and gardening. She was a former employee of the West Virginia Department of Highways, Ripley, WV. She retired from the Given Post Office and the United States Postal Service.

Survivors include her husband Richard Painter; daughters, Regina Roush of Ripley and Amy Abshire of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Kendra, Sabrina, Clay, Tristan and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Harper and Braxton; brothers, Jim (Leah) Pitts and Joe (Cathy) Pitts both of Ripley; sisters, Beverly Hudson of Evans, Dreama (Greg) Pursley of Sandyville and Debbie Pitts of Ripley; and sister-in-law, Karen (Kerns) Pitts.

Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Elmer Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Given, WV. Visitation will be from 11 am until time-of-service Tuesday at the funeral home.
