Richard “Dick” L. Stone, 78, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020 following a short illness.

He was born September 25, 1941 in Ripley to the late Frederick Edsel and Addie Catherine Rhodes Stone. Dick retired from Kaiser Aluminum after many years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and played in many softball games at the KERA fields. He also enjoyed reading and was active with the Masons, Ripley Jaycees, and helped coach Ripley Senior League Baseball. 

He is survived by his daughters Tammy Sarver, Tonja Anderson (Vaughn), and Tara Ellison (Scott) all of Ripley; brother Carl Stone (Jo Ann) of Spencer; Grandchildren Richie Anderson (Carlene), Nathan Anderson (Amanda), Jordan Anderson, Andrew Sarver, Kindra Sarver, Katlyn Sarver, Daniele Ellison, and Nicholas Ellison. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Mason Anderson, Maddox Anderson, Cameron Taylor, and Brantley Anderson. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Staats and Annetta Salmon.
