Jima Lynn (Ingram) Gandee, 58, of Ripley, WV, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020, in Jackson General Hospital following a sudden illness.
She was born April 11, 1961, in Torrance, CA, a daughter of the late James F. Ingram and Margie Irene (Jones) Ingram. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-laws, Gerald and Betty Gandee.
Jima was a 1979 graduate of Torrance High School and furthered her education at West Virginia University Parkersburg with an Associate’s Degree in Child Development. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant, and was a director for Kiddy Corner Daycare with 12 years of service. Jima attended Ripley Baptist Temple, Ripley and enjoyed being around children and also camping with her family at Seneca Rock.
In addition to her mother, other survivors are her husband of 34 years, Jerry Gandee of Ripley, WV, son Jerad (Angela) Gandee of Ripley; sister, Tina (John) Westfall of Charleston; grandchildren, Zoe Baldwin, Chad Gandee, Macenzie Shinn, Madison Shinn; nieces and nephews, Sierra Westfall, Savannah Westfall, Matt Fridley, Aaron Wiles and Joshua Rhodes.
Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 12 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. .
