Earl Moore Palmer, 91, of Cottageville, WV, passed away on May 20, 2019, at Eldercare of Ripley, WV.
He was born on May 27, 1927, in Dennison, WV, son of the late Francis D. and Edna Moore Palmer.
He worked at Kaiser Aluminum where, due to an industrial accident in 1960, Earl was left paralyzed from the waist down. After considerable rehabilitation, he was able to go back to work at Kaiser in an office job where he worked until he retired in 1982. Earl was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was an amateur clay sculptor and painter.
He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Palmer Richards of Cottageville, WV, and his son, Jeff Palmer of Shepperton, England.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Lyne Palmer; his daughter, Elizabeth Jill Palmer; and his granddaughter, Isabella Nadja Palmer.
Friends will be received at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood on Friday, May 24, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Pleasants Memorial Estates in Eureka, WV.
