Linda Lee McIntyre passed away May 17, 2019 after a long battle with dementia.  Her love, laughter and smile have been a joy to us all.  She was a lifelong Methodist and liberal Democrat.  She was also a proud graduate of the Ravenswood Class of 1965.

Over her long career, she worked at Ravenswood High School in the guidance office, US Postal Service, Sandy Creek Farms and the West Virginia State Police.  She was West Virginia’s foremost bobbin lace maker and published author on the subject.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Joseph and Audra Lee (Click) McIntyre and great grandmother, Ethel Click.  She is survived by her brother, Joe McIntyre and his wife Sandy, daughter Kim Lee Butler, and granddaughters Ireland Lee and Kaylin Lee Butler.  She is also survived by her beloved cat, Miss Kitty and an abundance of flamingoes that always made her smile.  More importantly, she was the epitome of unconditional love and support to her girls, family and friends.

A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held on May 26 at Casto Funeral Home in Evans with visitation from 2:00-4:00 p.m.  Please join us in celebrating the life of a lady who has brought us so much joy, laughter and pearls of wisdom.

Per Linda’s request, her body has been donated to the WVU School of Medicine.  Linda believed it would be a wonderful thing for a doctor to learn from her and then go on to save thousands of lives.
