Delmer Edward Young, 90, of Ripley passed away, Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center.

He was born March 13, 1928 at Statts Mill, a son of the late Thomas Foley and Phoebe Lauree Harmon Young. Delmer was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean War. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, and feeding and watching the birds that would come around the house. 

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Eurada Tolley Young; Daughters Janet Sue Villers of Parkersburg, Mary Ann Kelley of Ripley, and Rebecca Jo Spears (Steve) of Sandyville. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Sue Casto Young and sibling, Denver Young, Robert Young, Thomas Joe Young, and Dorothy Austin. 

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 15th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Jeff Keffer officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial with Miliatry Rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
