Adolph Maurice Strobbe, 96, of Cottageville, WV, (Evergreen Hills Community), passed away January 2, 2019, in Ravenswood Care Center, Ravenswood, WV after an extended illness.
He was born June 9, 1922, in Pompeys Pillar, MT, a son of the late Ramie Maurice and Etta Mae (Helton) Strobbe.
He was a retired electrician from Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation, Ravenswood, WV and a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local #5668 Ravenswood, WV. He was a Lutheran by faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Ethel Clare (Witts) Strobbe; sons, Robert (Marilynn) Strobbe of the Villages, FL, Thomas (Judy) Strobbe of Wichita, KS; daughters, Diana (Tommy) Nutter of Sandyville, WV and Connie (Carter) Strobbe Urbana, OH; brothers, Robert and August Strobbe both of Kalispell, MT; sister, June Kratochil of Billings, MT; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff and management of the Ravenswood Care Center and Hospice Care for their kindness and compassion through this difficult time.
Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2019, at the Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Care.
