Sharon Anette Wilson, 67, of Charleston passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
She was born April 14, 1951 in Ripley, a daughter of the late Arnold and Genevee Stewart Anderson. Sharon was a devout Christian who loved listening to gospel music. She volunteered often at the local food pantry as well as serving in her community’s neighborhood watch. She also collected dolls and coins and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Shawn Abbott (Kathy) of Charleston and Tabitha Pickens (Jason) of Charleston; Brothers David Anderson (Linda) of Ripley, Terry Anderson of Tampa, FL, and James Anderson (Kandell) of Ripley; Sisters Bernice Casto of Ripley, Charlotte Warmowski (John) of San Antonio, TX, and Dororthy Cook (Galen) of Point Pleasant; Grandchildren Jonathan Redman, Christopher Abbott, Brooke Withrow, and Vivian Pickens; Great-grandchildren Owen Redman, Isabella Abbott, and Adilynn Redman.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brother, Everett Anderson, and a sister, Mary Ann Anderson.
A memorial service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, November 17th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Kevin Jennings officiating.
