Georgianna Maxine (Cochran) Boggs, 91, of Ravenswood, WV (Flatwoods Community) passed away July 2, 2018, in Ravenswood Village following an extended illness.

She was born October 2, 1926 in Trade City, PA, a daughter of the late Dessie Clair and Maudie Ellen (Simmer) Cochran. In addition to her parents, her husband of 71 years, Roy L. Boggs preceded her in death; brothers, David and Jim Cochran; sisters, Mary Bowser and Joan Pelkey also preceded her.                                

She was a member of the Flatwoods United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and feeding hummingbirds. She was always known for her quick wit and humor. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Georgianna, had a special greeting card ministry with her family, friends and neighbors.                                                                                                                

Survivors include her daughter, Crystal and Mike Eubank of Ravenswood; son, Charles F. and Yon Boggs of Evans, GA; granddaughter, Catherine Boggs of Atlanta, GA: sister, Betty Slagle of Dayton, P.A.; dear friend, Betty Abels. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors that she loved as family.                                                                                                       

The family would like to thank the staff and management of Ravenswood Village for their loving care, laughter and hugs. They would also like to thank Dr. Gaal and staff for all of their care and support through the years.

Service will be Saturday, ~ 12 p.m. July 14, 2018 at Casto Funeral Home,  Ravenswood, WV, with Pastors Vera Archer and Phillip Scarberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods United Methodist Church Cemetery, Ravenswood, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time Saturday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations are preferred to the Flatwoods U.M. Church Cemetery fund, C/O Lyle Hughes 51 Hartley Lane Ravenswood, WV 26164.Condolences may be expressed to the family
