James Darrell Kiser, 88 of Gay, WV, passed away November 26, 2017 at Charleston General Hospital following a long illness.
He was born September 4, 1929 at Zona, Roane County, a son of the late Charles L and Belva Wilson Kiser. After High School he served in the Military with the United States Army and United States Army Air Corp. He retired from Union Carbide in South Charleston with 32 years of service and was a farmer. He was a Store owner of Kiser Bargain Center and Managing Assistant of Kiser Livestock LLC.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Pauline Price Kiser; son Mark Dale Kiser (Kim); three grandsons, Takoda James Kiser, Mark Dale Kiser Jr. and Brandon Lee Kiser; one granddaughter, Shelbi Renae Kiser; three brothers, Dale Kiser (Sarah) of Ohio, Bob Kiser (Joyce) of Florida and Ronnie Kiser (Linda) of South Charleston; two sisters, Doris Cook of Kenna and Shirley Rucker of Elkview; sister-in-law Sybil Kiser and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, Charles, Jess and Jackie Kiser and sister Nettie June.
Funeral Service was 1:00 pm Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Ray Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Gandeeville Cemetery, Roane County. Friends called from 11:00 am until time of service (1:00 pm) Thursday at the funeral home.
