Joyce Marie Rollins, 77, of Ripley, WV, passed away May 13, 2017, in Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, following an extended illness.

She was born November 11, 1939, in Angier, NC, the daughter of the late, Allen and Lyda (Hughes) Byrd. In addition to her parents, her son, CW05, Troy E. Rollins, of the West Virginia Army National Guard, also preceded her in death.

Joyce was a military spouse, a homemaker and the bookkeeper for the family business, Rollins Electric. She enjoyed bowling and quilting.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, James Francis “Jim” Rollins; son, Tim Rollins of Lillington, NC; daughter, Sharon Neal (Jeff) of Coats, NC; sister, Brenda Overbee of Coats, NC; grandchildren, Spc. 4, Tyler “T.J.” Rollins, Spc. 4, Victor Rollins, veteran (Muriah), Troy “T.J.” Rollins, Jr., J.T. Rollins, Parish Rollins, Isaac Rollins, Max Rollins and Brandy LeQuire (Lieut. John); great grandchildren, Spc. 4, Justin LeQuire (Sandra), Will LeQuire, Caleb LeQuire, Rachel LeQuire and Kiley Rollins.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public services. Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, is providing arrangements.

In memory of Joyce, donations are preferred to the Ripley Volunteer Fire Department, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospitals.
