Aubrey Eugene Titus (fondly known as Gene or Geno), joined his wife in heaven on Friday, May 5, 2017, at 9:26 p.m. He quietly departed this world in his home while surrounded by the people who loved him most. He was 84 years old and it was the end of a long war with bladder cancer.

Gene was born on December 9, 1932, in a quiet, little known place in West Virginia called, Kincheloe, and there he will return to be laid to rest beside his wife, Mildred.

He served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War, and then worked for Kaiser Aluminum and Ravenswood Aluminum for 39 years. He was a man of many talents such as custom woodwork, creating unique firearms with intricate metalwork and making personalized furniture. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred L. (Killian) Titus; parents, Willis Floyd “Pete” and Tina Pauline (Dennison) Titus and sisters, Shirley Titus and Barbara Titus DeWeese.

Survivors include his sons, Don Titus and his wife, Crystal, Steve Titus and his wife, Lessa and daughter, Rhoda Titus Hughes; brothers, Paul Titus and Charles Ashby Titus; sister, Sharon Titus Lucas; 11 grandchildren, Anthony Titus, Traci Titus Alsup, Jessica Hughes Milhoan, Matt Hughes, Jake Hughes, Megan Titus Crow, Meri Titus, Brad Titus, William Titus, Katie Titus Putillion and Anna Titus and nine great grandchildren, Luke Titus, Aubrey Titus, Lilly Alsup, Owen Putillion, Raylan Milhoan, Kaci Hughes, Ayla Hughes, Brooks Hughes and Claire Diesenberg.
