Noble E. Davis, 76 of Leroy, passed away September 28, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston following a long illness.

He was born May 23, 1940 at Charleston, a son of the late Robert and Nellie Westfall Davis. He attended the Mill Creek Baptist Church at Frozen Camp and was last employed with Watercraft of America that made Rescue Boats. Prior to that, he was a Tractor and Trailer Driver. He was known as a man that was ready to help others.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Dollen Davis; children  Curtis E. Davis of Charleston, Sherry L. ( Bo) Ellard of Charleston, Terry E. Davis of Flint Michigan, Bobby J. (Kim) Davis of Charleston, Nancy “Jeannie” (Bo) Davis of Beckley, Melanie “Ann” (Chris) Stewart of Ravenswood and Robert “June Bob” Stewat; brothers Frank Stone, Tommy Stone, Terry Stone, Frank Stone, Preston Bailey  and Herbie Stone; sister Sandy Brunner. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Robert Davis and Nellie Davis Rhodes, he was preceded in death by a child, Billy Joe Davis and brothers Randy Davis and Tommy Stone.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Waybright Funeral home, Ripley, with Pastor Bob keen officiating. Entombment will be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Cottageville. Friends may call on Tuesday, October 4m, 2016 from 11 am to 1 pm at the funeral home.
