Emory E. Boggess Sr., 75 of Sissonville, passed away peacefully at home on, August 30, 2016 after a long illness.

He was born on July 25, 1941 in Charleston, WV. He was the son of Flem Edgar and Mabel N. Boggess and the second to the youngest of 15 children. He enjoyed Boxing, NASCAR, Football and the humor in TV commercials, his animals and most of all his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Flem & Mabel Boggess; his 9 brothers, Flem Jr, Marvin, Oral, Larry, Darrell, Bill, Ernest, Eugene, & Delbert Boggess; his 5 sisters, Wavelene Boggess, Erma Moss, and Juanita Boggess, Zelma Jenkins, and Nadine Marion.

Left to carry on the precious memories of Emory are his loving wife of 55 years, Janet V. Boggess; sons & daughter-in-law, Emory E. Boggess Jr. of Ripley and Jeffery A. & Norine Boggess of Cross Lanes; six grandchildren, Tiffany (Cayla) Boggess of Sissonville, Tabatha Boggess of Cross Lanes, Crystal (James) Kiser of Ripley, Tara (Mark) Petty of Cross Lanes, Eric (Staci) Boggess of St. Albans, and Rachel (Zach) Ingram of Frogs Creek; 10 great-grandchildren, Destiny White, BreAnna & Draven Kiser, Mark Lacy, Savanna Boggess, Colton, Blake, & Allison Petty, Paislee and Eli Ingram and Layla Boggess; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Service will be 12:00 Noon Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with James Kiser officiating. Burial will be in the Pritt Cemetery, Sissonville. Friends may call from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon Friday at the Funeral Home.
