Cletus Wayne Starcher, 70, of Given, WV, passed away February 29, 2016, at his home.
He was born April 4, 1945, in Charleston, WV, the son of the late Richard Lestel “Buck” and Palestine Dora Bell (Painter) Starcher.
He was a retired, 48-year member of Laborers Local #1353, Charleston, WV. He enjoyed raising and training beagles, fishing and trading.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Sharon Jo Ann (Westfall) Starcher; son, Curtis Starcher (Missy) of Cottageville; daughters, Rita Ball (Neil) of Nitro, WV, and Helen Kelley (Philip) of Poca; granddaughters, Morgan Ball and McKenzie Ball both of Nitro, Megan Starcher and Stormy Cavendar both of Kenna; grandsons, Levi Hamon and Seldom Starcher both of Cottageville, and William Harrison and Austin Kelley both of Nitro; great granddaughters, Mattyson Parsons, Haylynn Cavendar, and Izzy Shaffer;.
Brothers, Bill Starcher (Pat) of Given, and Orville “Buster” Starcher (Ruthann) of Liberty; sisters, Laura Kirk (Johnny) of NC, Mary Smith of Red House, Ida Smith (Paul) of Fayetteville, WV, and Patty Skeen (Kent) of Ripley; several nieces, nephews, friends and other extended family members and J.C. Starcher, who holds a very special place in our hearts.
We would like to express our appreciation to Brady and Melissa Carr, Rhonda Casto, Clinton Lawrence, Mark Kelley and the late, Dorsel Casto and the late Joey Casto. We would also like to thank everyone for their support and prayers as we go through this most difficult time.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, WV, with Elmer Miller officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to time of service.
