Ravenswood City Council met via Facebook Live at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19. In a meeting that was adjourned at 7:11 p.m., the following topics were discussed:
• Minutes from the prior meeting on May 5 were approved by Council.
• Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Council requested their original budget proposal of $70,000 be reinstated for their accounting services. With the city not going through the USDA, the MOVRC has additional requirements they need to meet. Mayor Josh Miller said once the water project is complete the city will be able to access an electronic mapping system of all the valves and water lines for the city.
“Their putting a lot more into this and they’ve done a great job so far keeping the ball rolling,” Miller said.
Council approved the reinstatement of the original budget at Miller’s recommendation noting the amount of $70,000 is not to be exceeded.
• Council adopted a motion to approve monthly invoices related to the City of Ravenswood Water Infrastructure Project. Dunn Engineering in the amount of $24,271.28 and MOVRC totaling $1,074.66.
• Miller noted there will be a parade for the Class of 2020 seniors at 6 p.m. on May 29. The parade route will following the same route as the Home Coming Parade.
Next scheduled meeting of the Ravenswood City Council will be 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2 via Facebook Live.
