Artsbridge is proud to display the art of Erin McKown in their front room gallery at 925 Market Street from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, for the month of November. McKown is an aspiring wild-life artist who specializes in traditional realism. She established a deep fascination with nature and art at a young age. McKown resides in Ravenswood and spends much of her time in the woods, where she collects reference material for potential paintings and drawings. Her work is characterized by vibrant colors and an emphasis on detail. All the art is for sale, and would make great presents.

McKown received her Bachelors degree in Studio Art from Fairmont State University. Her work has been accepted into numerous juried exhibitions across the state. Notable awards and honors acquired include: the “Dr. Ghassan Khalil Award” from the Parkersburg Art Center’s ‘Wild at Art’ exhibition (2017), publication in the DNR’s ‘2017 West Virginia Wildlife Calendar’, the “People’s Choice Award” at the 2014 ‘Best of West Virginia Juried Exhibition’, and “Best of Show” (2014) and “1st place” (2013) at the Randolph County Community Art Center’s annual juried shows.
