The 12th Annual Ravenswood Football Youth Camp will take place July 11, 12, and 13 at Flinn Field in Ravenswood.
Camp hours are from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 11 and 12, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, July 13.
Players age 6 to those just entering eighth grade are eligible to attend.
All players will be placed in groups according to their age and ability. Player positions will be handled on days two and three.
The camp will include individual instruction on offense, defense, and special team fundamentals. Campers also will work on agility and footwork.
Life skills also will be a large focus of the camp. Teamwork, communication, sportsmanship, goal setting, and the importance of education will be covered each day.
Each participant will go home a better, more confident football player.
The camp is directed by Jason Jackson and is in its 12th year.
"We take great pride in providing this camp to our youth and any youth in the surrounding area," Jackson said.
Jackson said the camp is a great way for youth to learn the game of football.
"We teach sound fundamentals and provide the youth with a great football experience, which includes instruction from current coaches, current players, former players, and special guests," Jackson said.
A great deal goes into the camp, and the children get a lot out of it, Jackson said.
"We put much work into providing plenty of prizes for all campers," Jackson said.
A registration form can be found on this page. Complete the form and mail it to Steve Titus at 214 Race St., Ravenswood, WV 26164.
