Governor Jim Justice recently honored four Jackson County businesses for expanding products to new international countries in 2017-2018. The four companies listed in alphabetical order are;

Appalachian Distillery – Germany

Constellium Rolled Products – Malaysia

Mustang Sampling – Vietnam, South Korea

Niche Polymer – Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey

Governor Justice stated, “that as we export more West Virginia projects to the world, the world sees just how good West Virginia really is. These companies are our ambassadors, and we all should be so proud of their work and success”.

Products recognized and manufactured in Jackson County included spirts, aluminum coil, Sheet and plate products, sample conditioning systems for natural gas, natural gas liquids and liquefied national gas industry and plastic compounding.

Mark Whitley, Executive Director of the Jackson County Development Authority stated that “most new investment in the past few years in Jackson County have been from international interest. We are very fortunate to have these successful companies in Jackson County”.

Whitley stated that several other local companies are exploring new international markets as well. We hope that this year we will have additional products in other countries said Whitley. Whitley stated that “West Virginia Development Office has offices in Japan and Europe as well as a marketing presence in South America.

West Virginia’s international staff has been very helpful to assist in breaking into new markets around the world”. Our Board of Directors has earmarked additional resources for international trade missions to benefit Jackson County and the region.
