Jackson County residents will have better access to medical care thanks to a new expansion by General Hospital.
The Jackson General Care Clinic at Fruth will open Jan. 6 in Ripley, adding increased access to health services for area residents, officials announced last week.
The clinic is located at 509 South Church Street, Ripley, and can be contacted at 304-786-1155. It is a walk-in facility with extended hours. The hours are Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Serving patients 18 months and up, the Clinic at Wal-Mart offers services for:
Acne, bronchitis, conjunctivitis/eye infections, diarrhea, earache/infections, fever, lice, minor burns, minor wounds (not requiring sutures), nausea and vomiting, seasonal allergies, shingles, sinus infections, skin rashes, sore throat, suture removal, upper respiratory tract infections, and urinary tract infections.
