With three Top 10 finishers, the Ravenswood boys cross country team placed third overall in the Covered Bridge Invitational at Cedar Lakes. The Devils had 98 team points to follow Winfield (27) and Ritchie (72) in the boys' standings. There were 10 full teams in the race and three others with schools represented.
Bryce Jarrell was second overall to Winfield’s Aaron Withrow with a time of 17:13.52. Blake Jarrell was fourth (17:28.19) and Deshone Cooper came in seventh (18:16.55). Cody Smith finished 37th (20:37.55), Ethan Tanner was 71st (23:31.47) and Houston Kessell came in 77th (24:27.15).
Ravenswood girls were seventh with 181. Winfield was first with 33 and Ripley came in second with 47.
Annie Hunt was 28th overall (24:38.51). Paige Pursley was 42nd (26:41.34), Taylor Health came in 51st (28:14.22), Kassidy Anderson placed 57th (28:52.97) and Kaylee Norman finished 59th overall (28:56.11).
In the middle school meet, Ravenswood’s girls were fifth as a team with 153. Ripley was first with 51, followed by Hurricane with 54. There were 14 full teams in the competition.
Sami Maxon was 15th (13:51.47) to lead the way. Maci Mossor was next in line finishing 20th (14:17.37). Brooke Meadows was 31st (14:49.38), Emily Wratchford came in 37th (14:58.76), Haleigh McGoskey was 51st (15:27.92), Riley Street was 86th (16:52.09), Olivia Long came in 86th (17:15.06), Zoie Meadows was 108th (18:00.34) and Jordan Bright was 131st (20:25.24).
The boys from Ravenswood Middle were seventh with 201 team points. Hurricane was first with 36 and Ritchie second with 70. There were 13 full teams and two other schools with runners in the event.
Cade Curfman was the first to come across the finish line for Ravenswood at 29th (12:32.43). Logan Alfred was 33rd (12:55.28). Blair Anderson came in 43rd (13:26.26), Bailey Postlethwait was 51st (13:47.11), Noah Dawson was 71st (14:04.82), Dylan Curry was 73rd (14:06.20), Nick Milhoan came in 95th (14:44.38), Austin Curry was 96th (14:44.59) and Justin Smith came in 99th (14:55.74).
Jordan Varney (15:16.90), David Hood (15:42.88), Dalton Feagin (15:57.35) and Tucker Gorrell (16:55.26) also competed in the CBI.
