The February term of the Jackson County Grand Jury returned indictments against 33 individuals last week following presentments in Jackson Circuit Court.

The February term of the Jackson County Grand Jury returned indictments against 33 individuals last week following presentments in Jackson Circuit Court.

  Those indicted include:

 • Raymond Casto of Charleston was indicted on one felony count of breaking and entering and one misdemeanor count of petit larceny stemming from an incident in September, 2017, in which items valued at less than $1,000 were taken. West Virginia State Police Cpl. D.R. Herdman testified.

 • Grayson Gopp was indicted on one felony count of malicious wounding and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery stemming from an incident in October, 2017. Chief Deputy H.L. Faber of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

  • Wesley Davis of Ripley was indicted on two felony counts of breaking and entering and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony stemming from incidents in October, 2016. Patrolman B.L. Hart of the Ripley Police Department testified.

  • Shauna Tribett-Fowler was indicted on one felony count of child neglect creating risk of death or serious bodily injury stemming from a November, 2017 incident. Deputy B.L. Williams of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

  • Justin Wilson was indicted on one felony count of grand larceny and one felony count of possession of a stolen vehicle involving a 2005 Ford Explorer in a January, 2018 incident. Sgt. C.E. Kenny of the Ripley Police Department testified.

Jesse Kersey was indicted on one felony count of accessory after the fact to armed robbery or attempted armed robbery stemming from a January, 2018 incident. Sgt. C.E. Kenny of the Ripley Police Department testified.

  • Jessica Conley of Ripley was indicted on one felony count of gross child neglect creating risk of death or serious bodily injury, one misdemeanor count of possession of methamphetamine and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana stemming from September 2017 incidents. JCBI Detective R.H. Mellinger testified.

 • Melissa Reece was indicted on four felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), one felony count of delivery of a controlled substance (buprenorphine), one felony count of delivery of a controlled substance (clonazepan) and two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony stemming from incidents that occurred between January, 20o17 and September, 2017. JCBI Detective R.H. Mellinger testified.

 • Lyndsay Trusler was indicted on four felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), one felony count of delivery of a controlled substance (buprenorphine), one felony count of delivery of a controlled substance (clonazepan) and two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony stemming from incidents that occurred between January, 2017 and September, 2017. JCBI Detective R.H. Mellinger testified.

 • Bradley Hickman was indicted on two felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), one felony count of delivery of a controlled substance (fentanyl) and two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony stemming from incidents that occurred between January, 2017 and April, 2017. JCBI Detective R.H. Mellinger testified.

 • Connor Putillion was indicted on three felony counts of soliciting a minor by use of a computer stemming from incidents that occurred between June, 2017 and January, 2017. JCBI Detective R.H. Mellinger testified.

 • Ricky Parsons was indicted on two felony counts of grand larceny and two felony counts of receiving/transferrin stolen goods in excess of $1,000 in value involving a 2016 Polari Razor and other items belonging to two victims and stemming from incidents that occurred in November, 2016. JCBI Detective R.H. Mellinger testified.

  • Steven Crow was indicted on two felony counts of sexual abuse-first degree and two misdemeanor counts of battery stemming from incidents in October, 2017. Deputy J.F. Bowen of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

   • Aaron Paul McDermitt of Ripley was indicted on three felony counts of forgery, three felony counts of uttering, one felony count of burglary, two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony and one misdemeanor count of petit larceny stemming from incidents in February, 2017 and July, 2017. Deputies G.D. Baldwin and B.A. DeWees of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

 • Savannah Dudley of Ripley was indicted on three felony counts of forgery, three felony counts of uttering, one felony count of burglary, two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony and one misdemeanor count of petit larceny stemming from incidents in February, 2017 and July, 2017. Deputies G.D. Baldwin and B.A. DeWees of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

 • Wayne Allen Mills of Ripley was indicted on one felony count of dr4iving revoked for DUI-third offense stemming from an incident in March, 2017. West Virginia State Police Trooper T.L. Huffman testified.

  • Bryan Michael Collins of Ripley was indicted on one felony count of shoplifting-third offense and one misdemeanor count of obtaining money under false pretenses less than $1,000 stemming from an incident in September, 2016. Sgt. C.E. Kenny of the Ripley Police Department testified.

  • Rachael Conn Brunty of Cottageville was on one felony count of child concealment and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony stemming from an incident in October, 2017. Lt. T.T. Roberts of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

  • Walter Ray Cavender of Ravenswood was indicted on one felony count of driving revoked for DUI-third offense and one misdemeanor count of driving revoked for non-DUI stemming from a October, 2017 incident. West Virginia State Police Cpl. W.F. Donohoe, III testified.

  • Brian Kenneth Belcher of Gay was indicted on five felony counts of failure to register or provide registration changes as a sex offender stemming from incidents between May, 2017 and October, 2017, West Virginia State Police Cpl. D.R. Herdman testified. 

 • Brittany Scaggs was indicted on one felony count of escape stemming from a November, 2017 incident. Chief Deputy H.L. Faber of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

  • Richard Allen Hall was indicted on one felony count of reckless fleeing from an officer, one felony count of possession of a stolen vehicle, one felony count of grand larceny and one misdemeanor count of improper use of registration involving a 2005 Honda Civic and 2014 Kia Sierra K1500 stemming from a November, 2017 incident. Lt. T.T. Roberts of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

 • Burton James Garnes of Evans was indicted on one felony count of daytime burglary and one felony count of breaking and entering stemming from December, 2017 incidents. Deputy B.L. Varney of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

 • Antonio Lee Smith of Charleston was indicted on one felony count of daytime burglary, one felony count of wanton endangerment involving a firearm or other deadly weapon, one felony count of a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and one misdemeanor count of assault stemming from incidents in October, 2017. West Virginia State Police Trooper B.A. Chandler testified.

 • James Matthew Bunner of Athens, OH was indicted on one felony count of driving revoked for DUI-third offense and one felony count of counterfeiting stemming from an incident in January, 2018. Deputy C.R. Saltsgaver of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

  • Brucey Carlton Hancock of Sissonville was indicted on one felony count of grand larceny, two felony counts of breaking and entering, one count of conspiracy to commit a felony, two misdemeanor counts of destruction of property and one misdemeanor count of petit larceny stemming from incidents in December, 2107 involving a 2014 Polaris side-by-side and 1996 Toyota Tacoma and three victims. Deputy J.F. Bowen of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

  • Krystlebeth Lynn Bailey of Cottageville was indicted on one felony count of burglary, one count of conspiracy to commit a felony and one misdemeanor count of petit larceny stemming from October, 2017 incidents. Deputy B.A. DeWees of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

  • Selina Marie Johnson of Ripley was indicted on one felony count of aggravated robbery or attempted aggravated robbery and one misdemeanor count of petit larceny stemming from a January, 2018 incident. Sgt. C.E. Kenny of the Ripley Police Department testified.

  • Joseph Arnold Farrell of Ripley was indicted on one felony count of counterfeiting stemming from a January, 2018 incident. Deputy C.R. Saltsgaver of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

  • Candice Jean Simmons was indicted on one felony count of burglary, one count of conspiracy to commit a felony and one misdemeanor count of petit larceny stemming from October, 2017 incidents. Deputy B.A. DeWees of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.

  • David Scott Tackett of Ripley was indicted on one felony count of grand larceny, one felony count of burglary, one felony count of receiving/transferring stolen propery greater than $1,000 in value, one misdemeanor count of breaking and entering of an automobile and one misdemeanor count of petit larceny stemming from incident in Febraury, 2018, involving a 2007 Kia Spectra, 2004 Artic Cat and a 2016 Kia Sorento. Lt. T.T. Roberts and Deputies B.L. Williams and B.A. DeWees of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department testified.
