PETERSBURG — The Petersburg Chamber of Commerce will host this month's Business Over Lunch on Feb. 20 from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cameron Foundation, 228 S. Sycamore Street. This month's topic is "Hiring the Best Talent for Your Organization".
Leadership Chesterfield accepting applications
CHESTERFIELD — The Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce presents Leadership Chesterfield, a program designed for business leaders to engage with Chesterfield’s Government and Business leaders, sharpen their leadership skills, and help prepare for Chesterfield County’s future civic leaders one session at a time.
The Spring Session kicks off on March 30 at Richmond Alarm Company in Midlothian from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. There will be a total of four work sessions, a check-in/coaching session and a social. Applications are being accepted through March 10. The cost is $199 per person with a $30 late fee after deadline, and cost for non-members of the Chamber is $229 per person, $259 after the deadline. CHESTERFIELD — ChamberRVA Chesterfield is seeking interviewers for Chesterfield Ready.Set.Hire. Ready.Set.Hire. on Feb. 23. brings together businesses, students, parents, teachers and key workforce stakeholders to highlight the region's career & technical centers. Students participate in mock interviews with local business people and learn how to prepare for a successful career in their prospective fields.
The event takes place on Feb. 23 from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. at The Chesterfield Technical Center on Hull Street, 13900 Hull Street Road in Midlothian. This is a free event but registration is required for interviewers so the Chamber can place you in the correct subject area. Parking is free and located behind the building.
Interviewers are wanted for the following areas:
Advanced Computer-Aided Design
Computer Systems Technology
Digital Arts & 3D Animation
Business Management & Logistics Operations
Medical Systems Administration
Experience in the subject area is preferred but not required.
Advance registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21. Those still interested in attending once the event is closed, may register on-site at the event.
