RAVENSWOOD - A Ravenswood man faces charges after he allegedly threatened to burn down his grandmother’s house and an incendiary device was found hidden at her Sand Street residence on Saturday.
Jeremy K. Lore, 36, has been charged with felony illegal possession/manufacture of an explosive or incendiary device and misdemeanor domestic assault, following his arrest by Ravenswood Police officers.
During an altercation at the residence Saturday afternoon, Lore allegedly threatened his grandmother and allegedly threatened to burn her house down with a device he made.
Officers discovered the device inside the front door of the dwelling above a closet area. It was a greenish wine bottle filled approximately one-quarter full of what smelled like gasoline with a black cloth wick protruding from the top, commonly referred to as a “Molotov cocktail.”
Officers later found Lore hiding behind a nearby house on Sand Street and arrested him. He remains lodged in the South Central Regional Jail in lieu of $101,000 bond.
