RAVENSWOOD – Ravenswood’s Red Devilettes (28-17) flew over Braxton County Thursday in the 11th place LKC placement match—part of the current roll for Braham’s Flying Circus. Ravenswood beat the Eagles, 25-11, 25-12, 25-8.

Lauren Hoff led the Devilettes with 24 points and Skyler Mace added 22. Erica Green chipped in 10; Katie Mellinger, five; Bayli Manns, three; Molly McCutcheon, two; and Ariana Kennedy, one.

Mace was the top server at 15/17 (five aces). Kennedy was the top passer (25/28). Manns was 70/71 in sets. Hoff was the top spiker at 25/27 (14 kills). Mace was 24/26 (13 kills). Hoff had three blocks.

Kassi Heavner paced the Eagles with eight points.

The Devilettes swept a quad-match Tuesday at Spencer, defeating Doddridge County (24-26, 25-20, 25-9), host Roane County (25-17, 25-17) and Braxton County (25-9, 25-9).

Versus Doddridge, Hoff led the way with 20 points, Mace added 13; Mellinger and Manns, eight each; McCutcheon, five; Kennedy, three; Green, two; and Kendall Bowen and Dominek Brown, one each.

Brittanie Greathouse paced the Bulldogs with 14 points.

Versus the Raiders, Hoff scored 14 and Mace, 13. Mellinger chipped in eight points; Manns, six; Green, three; and Kennedy, Brown and Bowen, one each.

Hannah McKown paced the Raiders with nine points.

Versus the Eagles, Hoff scored 18 to lead the way. Mace added 10; Green, eight; Mellinger, four; Manns, two; and Kennedy, one.

Kassidy Heavner paced the Eagles with six points.

In Thursday night’s LKC playoff preliminary, the Braxton County jayvees defeated the Ravenswood jayvees, 25-14, 13-25, 26-24.

Tana Phillips (12 points) and Macey Manns (11 points) led the way for the Devilettes. Hannah Heatherington and Whitney Harmon added nine each; Jillian Smith, six; Kendra Casto, four; and Kendall Bowen and Dominek Brown, one each.

Harmon was the top server at 15/16 (three aces). Phillips and Manns served four aces each. Heatherington was the top passer at 20/35. Harmon was 46/48 in sets. Manns was the top spiker (14/21-5 kills). Phillips and Heatherington added four kills each.

Victoria Utt paced Braxton with 14 points.

Ravenswood hosts Ripley today (Tuesday) at 6 p.m. in the annual Battle for The Net at Ravenswood.
