Billy Glen Caudill, 80, of Millwood, WV, after a long illness left for his Heavenly home early Saturday morning, October 24, 2015.
He was born December 17, 1934, in Mud River, Lincoln County, WV, the son of the late John A. and Lydia “Lydie” (Miller) Caudill. In addition to his parents, his brothers, Herman, Therman, John, Jr., and sisters, Gaynelle Chandler and Faye Caudill Boreman also preceded him in death.
Billy was a graduate of Duval High School, was a retired inspector from Pechiney Rolled Products, Ravenswood, and a member of the United Steelworkers Union, Local #5668. He was a former member of the Evergreen Hills Freewill Baptist Church and a current member of the Ripley Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was an avid WVU sports fan.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Monzella (Walls) Caudill; daughters, Pam Casto (Ron) of Fairplain and Belinda Ramsey (Loyde) of Mount Alto; his adored grandchildren, Carisa Adkins (Dorsel), Josh Casto, Amy Hitt (Colin), Kendra Brown (Eric), Jimmy Knight (Jaime), Jared Casto (Michelle) and Andrea Mitchell (Jeff); great grandchildren, Isaiah Adkins, Cayden Adkins, Kira Brown, Ethan Brown, Evan Knight, Lazaro Rodriguez and baby Hitt, due to arrive in February; sisters, Edith Kitchen of Punta Gorda, FL, Rose Thompson of Madison, Lucille Miller (Leon) of Ripley, and Janice Price of Camp Creek, and many nieces and nephews and his puppy which he named, Buddy.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to all who prayed for him or showed concern in any way. His family was his heart and he was theirs. They would also like to thank Dr. Snyder, the staffs at Jackson General Hospital and the Ravenswood Care Center and especially to his sister, Lucille for her devotion, special care and concern.
Service will be 7 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, WV, with Pastor Jeff Keffer officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until time of service on Monday, at the funeral home. Committal and entombment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, in Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Cottageville, WV.
