Robert Rex “Bob” Westfall, 72, of Parkersburg, passed away July 27, 2015 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

He was born July 22, 1043 in Jackson County, a son of the late Estel and Sylvia Price Westfall. He attended the Independent Baptist Church in Vienna. In his early years he worked at Bunk Patterson’s Service Station before becoming a Deputy Sheriff. Later he was elected Sheriff of Jackson County for two terms. For the last 20 years he worked and retired from Public Debt as a security Officer. He loved spending time with those he loved as well as spending time outdoors in his garden.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Virginia “Jenny” Westfall and a brother Edward Westfall.

He is survived by his daughter Pam Westfall of Parkersburg; his loving Pomeranian Penny: brothers Elmer (Helen) Westfall, David Westfall all of Ripley and Clarence (Linda) Westfall of Leroy; sisters Anna Crihfield of Ripley and Lois Cooper of Ripley as well as Norma and Donnie Westfall of Ripley and Charles and Sue Bowman of Ravenswood along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Mike Elder officiating. Burial will be in the Siniaville Cemetery, Statts Mill. Friends may call from 6 to 8 Wednesday at the funeral home.
