Una Belle Kerns Waskey went home to be with her Lord on April 19, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. She was born September 24, 1928 in Jackson County, West Virginia. A daughter of the late John Ace and Vernia Hazel Kerns.

Una Belle devoted her life to her family caring for her six sisters and four brothers from an early age and raising four children, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Ripley Baptist Temple and formerly a long time member of Sandyville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband John William (Bill); four children Gary Alan (Rebecca), Beverly Rose Zabolicki, Gregory Keith (Connie) and Mark William (Traci); six grandchildren Matthew (Charissa), Brandon (Lesley), Anessa Koskey (Lyndon), Laura Beth, Casie Lanham (Josh), Jodie Melhorn (Jonathan); 11 great grandchildren Dita Unabelle, Althea Rose, Zoe Beverly, Creed Benjamin, Jagger Daniel, Elaina Lynn, Jade Elizabeth, Annalise Beth, Xander Cole, Brody Stephen and Jax Keith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by five sisters Mary Casto, Phyllis Grady, Ruth Kerns, Dorothy Pyles, Joyce Coon and brothers Clayton Kerns, John Larry Kerns and Donald Snyder. She was preceded in death by her brother Junior Ray Kerns and her sister Georgia Lee Burton. Special thanks from the family to all caregivers, Home Health and Hospice.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Ripley Baptist Temple with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call from 5 to 9 pm (today) Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Ripley Baptist Temple, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Church.
