Charles Lee King, 71, of Ripley, passed away April 27, 2014, in Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division, Charleston.

He was born September 28, 1942, in Evans, WV, a son of the late David Luther and Hattie Osie (Donohew) King.  His brothers, Paul King and Rob King, sisters, Lona and Alice King, and an infant son also preceded him in death.

He was retired from Century Aluminum with 33 years service and formerly worked in construction.  After retirement he owned his own business.  He enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sports and fish in the pond in front of his home.  He attended Ripley Baptist Temple.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Christina (Donohew) King, son, Richard (Celena) King of Ripley, daughters, Ginger (Allen) Harmon of Ravenswood, and Jessica (Mitch) Barnette of Ripley, grandchildren, Chaz (Tasha) Ruppert of Ravenswood, Patrick King and Alison King of Ripley, Nick and Heath Barnette of Ripley; great grandchildren, Haiden and Ryker of Ravenswood, brother, David King of Glendale, AZ, and Troy King of Evans, sisters, Betty Sayre of Evans, Lucille Hanna of Carey, OH, and Sandra Davis of Pulaski, VA.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating.  Burial will follow in Longview Cemetery, Evans.  Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
