Reva Arlene Crihfield Comer, 73, of Kenna, WV, passed away on February 4, 2014, at the Hubbard Hospice House at Thomas Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.  She was born on July 13, 1940 in Belgrove, WV, the daughter of the late Joe and Betha Good Crihfield.

She is survived by husband of 43 years, Reverend Jackie Q. Comer, daughter-in-law Arbutus Davis Comer of Kenna, WV, sister Della Mae Harris of Ohio and brothers Darrell (Mildred), John (Delphia), Earl (Sharon), and Rondel “Pug” (Alta) of Belgrove, WV and Arnold (Phyllis) Crihfield of Ohio, grandchildren Samantha, Christopher, and Scottie Comer of Kenna, WV and many beloved nephews, nieces, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by step-sons Lonnie Wayne, Kenna, WV, and Bruce Comer of Florida, and brothers Herman, Charles “Tee”, Jimmy, and sister Hazel (Westfall).

She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren Chelsea Boggess, Dakota and Jakob Comer who lived beside her.  She had many fun adventures with her daughter-in-law, Arbutus, over the years.  Their visits to Farmers Market, would result in shared laughter with her nephew, Robbie Crihfield, which she always enjoyed.  She looked forward to summer, her favorite time of the year, when her and grandpa could set on the porch and enjoy the birds and flowers.  If you had the good fortune to meet her, then you know she loved to talk and reminisce about her childhood and favorite memories.  She will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 7 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Leroy Conner officiating.  Burial will follow in the Thomas-Milam Cemetery, Fisher Ridge Road, Kenna, WV.  Friends and family will meet after the service at the home of Chris and Lisa Comer, Kenna, WV.
