POINT PLEASANT - When one of the highlights for Ripley High's football team is a shanked punt by the opposition that just missed a trash can on the Viking sideline, you know it has been a long night.

The Big Blacks (2-0) put the hammer down on the visiting Vikings to the tune of 63-7 on Friday night in a game that was all but over six minutes into the opening quarter. Point Pleasant led 35-0 after the first quarter and never looked back.

Ripley's score came on an 82-yard Trevor Tucker to Kade Harrison strike that Harrison hauled in at mid field and outran a safety to the endzone for Ripley's only points in the contest.

Ripley (0-2) travels to Winfield on next Friday and Point Pleasant will be idle for an open week.
