RAVENSWOOD - Walking into Affectionately Yours, the shop has the scent of flowers, candles and tarts lingering in the air. An array of gift items fills the shelves, tables and windows.

In addition to helpful staff mixed with the homey atmosphere one can find the welcome committee either lounging in a chair or in the display window flicking his tail and softly purring.

Affectionately Yours has recently move into the structure that formerly housed First Federal Savings and Loan.
The floral shop started out on the opposite side of the street and stayed a few months shy of 8 years. When the opportunity presented itself, it was time for a change.

Said Titus, "We purchased the building. We decided to buy the building instead of renting. It became available to us and it was made possible for purchase, so we went ahead and went for it."

Titus stated that the former bank facility has not really changed as far as the layout and it was what they wanted to do.
Said the storeowner, "We love out building. Its funny how we made things fit. We didn't get rid of really a whole lot. The safe is still here and we've tried really hard to keep the charm of the building. We like it this way and even the people who used to be in this building have told us that they really like the look of it".

As far as what kind of items is available at the shop, Titus listed the services and many items that can be added to an arrangement.

"Of course we store sell fresh flowers", said Titus, "But we also have wire in and wire out service orders. This just means that we accept orders from other businesses and we also send them to other stores. We have gift items that range from vintage to consignments, cards, wicker, angels, pictures, and plants, vintage jewelry and other little whatnots. There's something for every one here. They can get flowers and then add something extra with their purchase.
She concluded, "I really want to thank First Federal and Lois (Beam) who helped us get this building."
