The first in a series of profiles on Ravenswood High School Lady Red Devil soccer team players.

Jordan Sheets Class: Senior Position: Defender Honors: All-LKC, AA/A All State Second Team 2011, Co-Captain Don't let the smile fool you. Inside Jordan Sheets beats the heat of a lioness. The senior Lady Red Devil defender extraordinaire is as tough and tenacious as they come. She's made a high school career of stopping opponents and defending Ravenswood's half of the soccer field ferociously. “I'm most comfortable as a defender,” said Sheets, “but I'm also excited about the opportunity to play forward this season.” Something new for Sheets in her senior season as a Lady Red Devil is having her mom, Kim Sheets, as head coach. “It's good,” she said, “but we do have additional game discussions when we get home.” Off the soccer field where she's competed for some seven years now, Jordan is a top student (Top 5 in her class) and active in Rave Revue show choir, Concert Choir Select and Chorus. She says she has equal passion for soccer and choir. She believes each helps the other in terms of conditioning. While soccer outside of intramurals isn't in her future plans, Jordan does plan to attend an in-state university and major in biology. As for on-field goals, Jordan says beating Sissonville is top priority, along with playing well and getting along as a team. “We're still confident and we know what matters most is the postseason sectional/regional tournament,” she said. “We've played well, but we'll play better.”
