Cloyd Ray “Doc” Rhodes, 85, of Kenna passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Eldercare of Ripley following an extended illness.


Cloyd Ray “Doc” Rhodes, 85, of Kenna passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Eldercare of Ripley following an extended illness.

Doc was a well-known lifelong farmer in southern Jackson County.

He was a son of the late George William Rhodes and Ollie Douglass Rhodes. He was preceded in death by Mina Dye Rhodes and Douglas Dye.

He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Casto (Randy); sons David Rhodes (Regina) and Kenneth Rhodes; step-daughters Susie Williams (Gay), Becky Hunt, and Debbie Smith (Gary); step-son James Dye (Hope); 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 2, at 11 a.m. at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Lawrence Conger, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Memory Gardens, Cottageville.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, April 1, at the funeral home.
