CHARLESTON - Four members of Coach Cindy Carmichael’s 2017 LKC champion Ravenswood Red Devilette softball team have been named to Class A All-State honors by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association.

Leading the trio is senior catcher Bayli Manns, who was named to the Class A All-State First Team.

Manns, whose grand slam homer turned the LKC championship game upside down for a Ravenswood victory, hit seven roundtrippers as part of her .500 batting average. Manns had 50 RBIs, scored 36 runs and ripped nine doubles in her senior season. 

Junior infielder Skylar Mace also earned an All-State first team selection, finishing the year with five home runs to go along  with a .483 batting average, 39 RBIs, 30 runs scored and 11 doubles.

Senior center fielder Claudia Cubides was named to the Class A All-State Second Team.

Cubides, the funnel cloud center field dynamo, finished her senior season with a .473 batting average, 27 RBIs and 44 runs scored. She hit a pair of homers and five triples along the way.

Junior third basegal/pitcher Kendall Bowen was named to the Class A All-State Special Honorable Mention List.

Bowen split time between third base and the pitcher’s mound, hitting .480 with two homers, 11 doubles, 24 RBIs and 48 runs scored as leadoff batter. She stole 17 bases.
