RAVENSWOOD – Ralph J. Phillips, was born March 3, 1936, in Roane County, WV. He departed this life on Sunday, July 18, 2010. He died at the age of 74 due to a short illness at CAMC Hospital in Charleston, WV.
Ralph was a U.S. veteran, who joined the Army in 1959. Ralph was also an avid sports fan of the Ravenswood Red Devil teams. He also received an award for the #1 Sports Fan.
Ralph will be greatly missed by friends and family! We love you dearly! You are a wonderful and loving soul! God Bless you as you look down upon us with your loving, gentle and caring ways!
He is survived by 6 nieces and 9 nephews; also, many great and great-great nieces and nephews. His parents, Oliver and Leila Burdette Phillips, 5 brothers and 3 sisters preceded Ralph in death.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at 2:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV, with Pastor Jay Vestal conducting the memorial service.
